Overview: Bodo and Garo are the two largest people groups within the Garo-Tripuri people cluster that also encompasses the Tripuri (Kok Borok) and Chakma. These groups are scattered across eastern India and across the border into Bangladesh. While Hinduism, Buddhism and ethnic religions are widely practiced, there are sizeable Christian communities among most of these people groups.
